Book description from goodreads.com
For Alicia Riley, her job as a sports therapist for the St. Louis Rivers baseball team is a home run—until she becomes the primary therapist for star pitcher, Garrett Scott. Out of the lineup with an injury, he’s short-tempered, hard to handle, and every solid inch, a man.
Right now, the only demand he’s making on Alicia is that she get him ready to pitch in time for opening day. Except the sexual chemistry between them is so charged, Alicia’s tempted to oblige Garrett just about anything. But both their careers are at stake—one bad move and it’s game over for both of them.
Garrett also feels the hot sparks between them, and the way he figures it, what better therapy is there than sex? Now all he has to do is convince the woman with the power to make the call.
Book 5 in the Play by Play series follows Alicia Riley, cousin to Mick, Gavin and Jenna (Books 1, 2 and 3 respectively) and sister to Cole (book 4). Alicia is a physical therapist for the fictional St. Louis Rivers baseball team, and Garrett Scott is a star pitcher, who has been injured and in need to should rehab.
Sparks fly as soon as Alicia speaks up about what a baby Garrett is being about his rehab. He is intrigued by her, that she’s not afraid of him, and she becomes in charge of his therapy. In all of the prior books, the guy has done something to drive a wedge between him and the female character. That happened here, but what it was, to me, was not that bad an offense, for lack of a better description.
The story is pretty basic, Alicia worries for her job due to getting involved with Garrett, Garrett worries about his shoulder and if it will get better, and he has some family issues. If you are looking for amazing literature, this is not the book for you. If you are looking for a decent story with super steamy sex scenes, then you should read this one.
Read it, but read the series in order (the first book is the best by far).
